Research
I did a search on 'Scannergrams' on Google images to get ideas to create my own scannergrams. From this I got the idea to try and extend things like the face and hand below by dragging them down the scanner.
Creating abstract images from taking screen shots of my experimental video
After finishing my video, I took screen shots of different parts and edited them in Photoshop. I changed things like the brightness, saturation, gamma, colour balance and HDR resolution to make them look more abstract.

Practise scannergrams
I used objects around me to scan but I tried to make them more interesting by dragging them down the scanner or in wavy lines.

My favourite out of my practise scannergrams is this one:
I like how it's photography of a camera, an old dated camera. I think the stretched out part really adds to the picture, the one that I tried before with just the camera is quite boring.

Doing this gave me the idea to make my book about old cameras and maybe add a sentence to go with the image. Like where the cameras been or where it was bought. This was only a practise so I'll try it again so improve it. There's dirt on the scanner and it's distracting from the picture. Also I think I would prefer to have the whole of the background black so I would edit that on Photoshop and turn the contrast up.
Planning my pages for my book
I decided I would change my idea on my book, I originally wanted to do just scans of old objects. But I am going to scan two things differently and have them places next to each other in the book. After creating pages of thumbnails of the images I wanted in my book on Photoshop, I cut them out in pairs and started to arrange them how I would like to see them in my book.
These are the pages I made on Photoshop:
